New Jersey Private Well Testing Act

This Act became effective as of September 14, 2002, and applies to sales and rentals of real estate. It applies to:

Agreements of Sale must provide for an acknowledgement by Buyer and Seller that the well has been sampled, tested and results disclosed. Leases, on and after March 14, 2004, will require similar acknowledgments, and the Landlord will have to provide the tenant with on any new lease with copies of the most recent test result.
